Intro to Analytics for Marketing Insights – 1/2 Day

This workshop provides an overview of data science 101 tactics that can aid marketers and managers in making business decisions on data that influences products and services.

  • Data sources (Google Analytics, APIs, etc.
  • Plan a data model (Exploratory Data Analysis, OKRs/KPIs, DuckDB, Clustering)
  • Basics on Data Models (Decision Trees, Regressions)
  • Time Series Analysis
  • AI Prompts and gen AI features (Claude/ChatGPT/Perplexity) to explore data and create necessary visualizations
  • Tips for communicating data model insights to teams (visualizations, auxiliary documentation tools, AI)

Instructor

Pierre DeBois is the founder and CEO of Zimana, an analytics services firm that helps organizations achieve profitability improvements in marketing, Web development, and business operations. Zimana has provided services for clients in many industry verticals.

Pierre has also provided digital marketing and analytic workshops. His first major workshop was for the City of Chicago Treasurer’s Office as part of the 2014 Small Business Expo (SBE). Since then, he has conducted workshops and presentations on a variety of data science and marketing analytics topics, including Content Marketing World, Marketing Analytics and Data Science, and most recently, CodeMash, CommerceNow24, and the Black Is Tech conference.

Pierre is also an analytics and business intelligence writer. He has contributed articles to CMSWire for nearly a decade and short video for IT Pro Today. Pierre’s articles were among CMSWire’s Top Digital Marketing Articles for 2018, 2020, 2021, and 2022. He is also a coauthor on two small business books, The Entrepreneur Within Volume 3, and Faith, Failure & Success, as well as credited as a technical editor for two Pearson/Que digital marketing publications.

Pierre has been featured in the Chicago Sun Times, and is currently an adjunct professor of data science and marketing for Trine University.

Pierre is a Prairie View A & M University graduate (mechanical engineering) and a Georgia Tech graduate (MBA). He is a native of Gary, Indiana, serving small businesses and organizations throughout the United States.
